With AttachingIT you can adjust / personalize different registry settings. This list is currently until version 3.8.819. If you have an older version, then certain keys might be missing in the registry.
The keys that are described on this page are divided into 2 parts:
- Keys that you can adjust to configure the plug-in
- Keys that you shouldn't be adjusted because they are needed for the correct functioning of the plug-in.

Description: Enter this value during the installation. This is the 'Customer ID' that is known to us. If you have lost this information, you can find it in the Management Console of AttachingIT under the heading Links & Software.

Description: If this value is '1', AttachingIT will be disabled by default when selecting an attachment. So you will send unsecured files at the moment!

Description: This value refers to the automatic generation of passwords for the password protection of a file. If this value is set to '1', passwords will be automatically generated. With the value '0' this will be disabled and you will have to generate passwords yourself. Note: this is usually less safe!
You can also set this value to '2', then the passwords generated have less difficult characters.

Description: When this value is '1', AttachingIT will also send traditional attachments that have been selected via a DMS or the paper clip. This allows you to prevent attachments that are unsecured. That is why this value is on by default.

Description: When this value is set to '1', AttachingIT will only ask for confirmation for recipients and attachments when at least one external receiver is selected. After all, the impact of a data breach is bigger if data ends up outside of the organization.

Description: When this key is set to '1', the Fileviewer is shown when an email with an AttachingIT link is selected. This means that an AttachingIT user does not have to go to the download page to retrieve files.

Description: Domains can be added here to be seen as internal recipients. If you want more than one domain, you can add a ; between the addresses, without a space.
Example: 'firstdomein.com;seconddomein.com'. This key replaces FilterExchangeObjects.
The check on these addresses will be when sending the email. This means when you are setting up the email, the AtatchingIT sidepanel will be visible and used, but the recipient of the email will receive the attachment in the traditional way.

Description: When this key is set to '1', AttachingIT will restore the attachments to the email after sending. This gives the recipient a secure link, but the attachments can easily be found in the sent items of the sender.
Note: For Office 365 users it can lead to synchronization problems. Shipment statements have been created for this purpose. You should set the value to '2'. An extra folder will be created under 'sent items' in which the emails are saved with the attachment that has been sent.
