Enabling the SmartLockr add-in, in Outlook

  • Updated

Outlook might give you a notification message to let you know that an add-in might slow it down. Sometimes Outlook might decide to even disable an add-in because of it. In this article we will show you how you can enable SmartLockr again.

Enabling SmartLockr in Outlook

The additional step below is not mandatory but if you do this Microsoft Outlook will not turn off SmartLockr for at least 30 days.

Step 5: Select “Do not monitor this add-in for the next 30 days” and click “Apply”.

That’s it! Your IT department has the tools to make sure that Outlook cannot turn off add-ins in general for all users of SmartLockr so if it keeps being turned off by Outlook, please contact your IT department about this. We can help your IT department if they want more information about these settings for everyone in Microsoft Outlook.
